The short version: Wordmere is a single-player word puzzle that runs entirely on your device.
No account is required, and we do not collect personal information that identifies you.
The game works offline, and your progress and settings stay on your device.
Information we handle
Stored only on your device
Game progress — your level, coins, found words and daily-puzzle history, kept in local storage on your device (AsyncStorage) and never uploaded.
Settings — your sound, music and haptics preferences, stored locally.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases (coin packs) are processed by the Apple App Store. We never receive or store your payment details — Apple handles the transaction and shares only confirmation that a purchase succeeded. Purchase validation is handled via RevenueCat. These requests are anonymous and contain no personal data.
Advertising & analytics
No ads. Wordmere does not show advertisements.
Anonymous usage analytics. To understand how the game is played and to improve it, we use PostHog to collect anonymous product-analytics events — for example which screens you open, levels you complete, and features you tap. This data is tied only to a random, app-generated identifier. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, we do not use it to track you across other apps, and no device advertising identifier (IDFA) is collected.
Measuring our own marketing. When we promote Wordmere with app-install ads, we use the Google (Firebase) and Meta (Facebook) SDKs to measure how well those campaigns work. If you install or play after seeing one of our ads, these SDKs share limited, aggregated app activity — such as app installs, gameplay milestones, and purchases — with Google and Meta solely to measure and improve our advertising. We do not use Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), we show no App Tracking Transparency prompt, and we do not track you across other apps or websites; measurement relies on Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork and aggregated reporting.
Children’s privacy
The game is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Advertising
Wordmere shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC) — optional rewarded videos you
choose to watch, and occasional interstitials between levels. To serve and measure ads,
Google may collect device information such as your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA),
IP address, and coarse ad-interaction data.
On iOS, personalized ads are shown only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking
Transparency prompt; otherwise ads are non-personalized. In the European Economic Area,
the United Kingdom, and Switzerland you will see a consent form first, and you can change
your choices at any time from an ad’s options menu. You can also reset or revoke your
advertising identifier in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
We do not sell your information. The third parties involved are Apple and RevenueCat (to process and validate in-app purchases), PostHog (anonymous usage analytics), and Google (Firebase) and Meta (Facebook) (aggregated measurement of our own app-install advertising — see “Advertising & analytics” above). We do not share data that personally identifies you.
Ad serving: Google AdMob receives the device data described under “Advertising”,
strictly to serve and measure ads in Wordmere.
Your choices
Gameplay and settings data stay on your device; clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling removes them.
You can manage purchases in your Apple ID account settings.
Data retention
Locally-stored data persists until you clear it or uninstall the app. We do not maintain user accounts or server-side profiles.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be noted in-app or on this page.
